This program explores the tasks performed by administrators and managers in human and health care services.  The special opportunities and challenges for women will also be considered, including ways to cope.

Learning Objectives

  1. Define and illustrate the human service management process with special attention to feminist management, an innovative approach particularly suited to human service management.
  2. Outline the ways individuals can move into management positions.
  3. Illustrate the special issues and challenges faced by women managers, how women view power, and successful ways of dealing with these challenges.
