NASW continually advocates for social work in managed care. NASW has established regular meetings with major managed care organizations (MCOs) that operate in Massachusetts to assure NASW’s input into their companies’ policies and procedures.
This year, the Chapter secured the National Commission on Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) commitment to stop publishing the “secret shopper” practice as an option for managed care companies to use to measure appointment availability.
