This event will focus on the theme of: Connecting Through Art

Summary: In the Kunsthistorisches Art Museum in Vienna, Johann is a security guard who finds a special quiet magic in the inner life of the institution. The film explores his isolation, anonymity, and dedication to the museum and its great works of art. One day, a Canadian woman, Anne, whose cousin is in a coma, arrives on a compassionate visit. She seems to always be in need of something… money, directions, companionship… and the two strike up a friendship through their appreciation of art. That relationship helps put other happenings both at the museum and in the city into perspective. Johann observes, and participates in, a world where art can say so much more than a casual visitor might know.
