The MACRO perspective includes public health data, policies and strategies. The CLINICAL portion will provide evidence-based tools to address substance abuse early on, when we can have significant impact on treatment decisions. The program includes treatment options, the impact of trauma on clients, and integrating substance abuse treatment into your practice.
Participants will learn:
- The scope of this epidemic and available services
- Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) protocols
- How to work with clients with an opiate addiction.
