Addresses clinical issues related to sex and intimacy in gay, lesbian, and straight couples. Three seasoned clinicians will talk about their area of expertise the similarities and differences among the populations discussed.

Participants will learn:

  • To differentiate healthy sexual norms from out of control sexual behavior in gay men.
  • Ways that sexual-minority women express intimacy and practice sex, drawing on key insights from affective neuroscience and attachment theory.
  • Three factors that contribute to couple sexual difficulties, and a newer model of sexuality.

Rick Miller, LICSW is a clinical social worker in private practice in Boston and Cape Cod. He is the author of Unwrapped: Integrative Therapy With Gay Men and the Gift of Presence.

Judi Zoldan, LICSW is a member of the Psychoanalytic Couple and Family Institute of New England and the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, and is on staff for Internal Family System Couple Therapy training.

Annette Demby, LICSW is a certified sex therapist. She sees couples and individuals with a variety of sexual difficulties.

Approved for 6 CEs for Social Workers. LMHCs applied for.
