Incorporating an online component can help social workers build a resilient and sustainable private practice. This program outlines the key elements of self-training in the provision of online care, e.g., learning video conferencing using various devices, platforms, and applications. Discussing a case example will help participants identify some of the ethical, legal and clinical issues raised in online care. Providing online care with core social work values is rooted in advancing social justice.

Learning Objectives: Participants will learn...

  1. The definition of Telemental Health.
  2. At least 3 ethical, legal, and clinical challenges of providing Telemental Health Care online.
  3. At least 3 examples of how technology in clinical practice directly addresses diversity and accessibility to mental health care.
  4. Benefits and advantages of incorporating online videoconferencing into their practice.

Continental Breakfast Included.

Approved for 3 CE hours for social workers, LMHC applied for.

Early Bird Rates: Members - $60 / Non-Members - $90 / SWTRS Member - $45
