with
Jill Fischer, LICSW
Certified EFT Trainer and Director of the New England Center for EFT

About the Program:

This workshop is an opportunity to learn about this powerful, evidence- based approach to couple therapy that is based on attachment theory and a scientific understanding of adult love relationships. Developed by Sue Johnson, EdD, this short-term model has been proven to be highly effective in helping distressed couples repair and create lasting secure bonds.

Whether you work with couples or not, you will find the concepts taught in this workshop to be incredibly valuable in your work when it comes to relationship distress. It offers a whole new perspective on the negative emotions that get triggered when we get disconnected from the person we love.

Learning Objectives: Participants will learn...

  1. The latest research that contributes to the science of love
  2. How different attachment strategies show up in attachment distress
  3. How the negative emotions that get generated in love relationships are a direct reflection of how important two people are to one another
  4. The steps and stages of EFT that lead couples from distress to a secure bond
