The NASW-MA Chapter will not be printing an August issue of FOCUS this year. We encourage you to place your ads in our July or September issues or on-line.
The deadline for the July issue is June 7, 2013 and for the September issue it is July 19, 2013. Thank you.
FOCUS is NASW MA Chapter’s newsletter that is directly mailed to over 8,300 NASW members. Our membership consists of social workers throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, approximately 55% of who practice in the Greater Boston area. Our members work in a broad array of areas including children and youth, health, mental health, schools, corrections, family services, aging, substance abuse, public assistance, occupational practice, developmental disabilities, and community organization.
FOCUS is published monthly and is printed the last week of each month. (e.g. March FOCUS should be delivered to members during the first week of March.) Therefore, the minimum insertion length for FOCUS ads is one month.
Ads must be submitted by 5 pm on the day of the deadline.
Renewals are not available; ads must be fully resubmitted at the end of their initial insertion period.
NASWMA online ads are available for viewing by NASW members, and non-members alike.
There are no submission deadlines for online ads: they may be submitted at any time and will be posted online within 5 business days of submission.
All online ads are posted for a 60-day period. (Renewals are not available. For continued online posting, ads must be fully resubmitted after the 60-day period ends.)
All online ads are text only. (Display ads can not be purchased for exclusively online posting, but may appear online if classified as a “combo” ad, in which case the display ad would be posted as text only.)
Combo ads combine FOCUS and Online ads and are inserted in both locations. (FOCUS ads will be inserted into the next issue, and Online ads will be posted within 5 business days of submission.)
Combo ads are priced similarly to FOCUS and Online ads. (Classified Combo ads are priced per word. Display Combo ads are priced per ad size.)
Combo ads require a flat additional “combo” premium, which is either $20 or $40 for a Classified ad ($20 if ad is less than 250 words; $40 if more than 250 words) or 10% of the Display ad cost.
Examples of Combo pricing and insertion lengths:
* 1/8th page Combo Display ad printed in FOCUS for 1 month, plus posted Online for 60 days = $350 + $35
* 60 word employment Combo Classified ad printed in FOCUS for 1 month, plus posted Online for 60 days = $81 + $20
