Sponsor & Program Eligibility

Sponsor Eligibility

Sponsors must be one of the following:

  • an agency
  • a hospital or clinic
  • a department of social work
  • college/university
  • professional organization or other similar body
  • An individual may also become a sponsor (see additional requirements on application).

Program Eligibility

  • Programs must take place within a licensing period in order to qualify for CE accreditation for that licensing period. The current licensing period is 10/1/16 - 9/30/18. Applications for a licensing period that are received after that licensing period ends will not be reviewed e.g. program is 9/1/16 and application is submitted 10/5/16.

  • Program content must be relevant to social work practice.

  • Supervision, general staff meetings, orientations, agency/organization improvement, and committee meetings are NOT eligible.

  • Self-help or self-improvement programs are NOT eligible.

  • In-service training, defined as meetings geared specifically to a particular setting's functions and management, are NOT eligible. Staff development programs, defined as information/learning that can be transferred from one social work setting to another, are eligible.
