Attendees shall have read the book in advance of this program. The program will consist of a facilitated group discussion of the book in order to meet the course objectives. Discussion facilitated by Rachel Schein, PsyD, HSP.

 

Course Objectives:
1. Understand the roles of social workers in the child protective services system
2. Identify and assess the risks of substance abuse and suicide among older victims of abuse due to trauma and loneliness.
3. Learn practical means of facilitating positive outcomes for victims of child abuse, especially in adulthood.
