Webinar - Long-term Homelessness in Rhode Island and How to End It (1.5 CEUs)

Tuesday, May 14 (12-1:30pm EST)

Speakers: Eric Hirsch, Professor of Sociology at Providence College

Virtual on Zoom

Hosted by the NASW-RI Chapter (CEUs approved for NASW-MA attendees)

Why do we have so many people without homes in Rhode Island? What is the best approach to ending long-term homelessness? Homelessness disproportionately affects people of color, especially Black and Indigenous people in Rhode Island. It also disproportionately affects single mothers and LGBTQ+ people. I will cover these issues in my presentation.

Learning Objectives:

  • That attendees understand the causes of long-term homelessness.
  • That attendees understand how to end long-term homelessness.
  • That attendees know how to achieve an end to long-term homelessness politically.

Fees: $15 for NASW members and $35 for non-members
