Legislative Education and Advocacy Day (LEAD) 2024 Registration! Every year, NASW-MA organizes LEAD during social work month in March. This year’s theme for social work month is “Empowering Social Workers”. LEAD provides social work students and new professionals with an opportunity to learn about our shared legislative priorities and to engage in advocacy through direct contact with their legislators. This year, the keynote speaker will be social worker, lawyer, and Senate President Karen Spilka followed by our Lobbying 101 speaker who will be macro social worker Chelsea Sedani, MSW. The four workshops will focus on the following bills: The event cost is $10 a person, but several Schools of Social Work are sponsoring LEAD so check-in with your school to see if they have a code for students to use before you register!
