The landscape of abortion rights has changed since the fall of Roe v. Wade. This presentation will overview abortion access in Massachusetts and across the country. This will include current laws and policies on abortion and we'll discuss abortion access for patients in and out of state.

About the speaker: 

Sheila Ramirez is the Director of Public Affairs at Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund. She has been working in the policy space for over 6 years on the local, state, and national level. Previously she was the If/When/How Legal policy fellow working on repealing the Hyde Amendment to allow patients on public health insurance to receive abortion care. Originally from Lawrence Massachusetts she has worked on bridging the gap between immigrant communities and reproductive rights.
