Tell Congress: Cover Telephonic Mental Health Services for Medicare Recipients

 
Email Congress now to ask them to allow telephone-based mental health services under temporary telehealth regulations.
 
The current COVID-19 crisis has made it incredibly difficult for many Massachusetts Medicare recipients to get the mental health services that they need.
 
On March 17, 2020, Medicare issued new guidelines that allow for reimbursement of video-based mental health services. To be clear: video-based telehealth is currently reimbursable, but telephonic services are not. This has an especially large impact on Medicare recipients, who are among the most vulnerable members of our community: older adults and those with disabilities. With anxieties heightened during this uncertain time, Medicare recipients need access to telephonic services in order to access crucial mental health treatment.
 
Contact your US Senators and Representative today and ask them to follow the lead of many other insurance companies by permitting telephonic mental health services.
