Symposium 2020 COVID-19 Updates:

At NASW-MA our primary concern is the well-being of our social work community. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, we made the decision to POSTPONE our Symposium 2020 plans. All of your registration items including workshop and intensive selections will automatically transfer to 2021, at the current cost to attend. The tentative date for our postponed conference, which will include our keynote speaker Dr. Joy DeGruy and all 90+ workshops and intensives, is April 15-16, 2021. Please mark your calendars.

Thank you for your patience and your continued engagement with us at NASW-MA. Please continue to visit our website to stay up-to-date. We look forward to seeing you at Symposium 2021!

2020 Webinars for our Symposium and Intensives Registrants

In addition, registrants and sponsors/exhibitors who decide to keep their registration to the 2021 event will receive additional free benefits from NASW-MA in 2020.

Become a Volunteer for Symposium 2021

If you are passionate and committed to serving others we need you! Volunteer for Symposium 2021 and help make a difference. Click here to learn more about volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers assist and support the following key areas of the conference:

  • Registration:

Registration volunteers are responsible for welcoming attendees and distributing registration materials. Attendees will expect you to have the answer to everything, so you will need to familiarize yourself with the conference schedule, the conference mobile app, room locations, etc.

  • Room Monitors:

As a session monitor, you will liaise with the speakers to ensure they have all necessary equipment, welcome attendees as they enter the session room, provide a session headcount, and provide evaluation information to attendees. Room monitors are assigned to one room for one day, and may request a certain theme or track to liaise; while NASW-MA will try to honor all requests, requests are not guaranteed.

  • Hospitality:

Hospitality volunteers need to be very familiar with the conference schedule; special events, restaurants, and other items that you believe will contribute to an overall positive conference experience including information about the conference for first-time attendees. Hospitality volunteers will assist with special events and setup throughout the Conference.

  • Exhibit Hall Volunteer:

Exhibit Hall volunteers are responsible for checking in and assisting exhibitors and encouraging participants to visit the Hall.

  • Traffic Direction Volunteer

Traffic Direction volunteers are responsible for giving directions to conference attendees at posts throughout the conference facility. Attendees will expect you to have the answer to everything, so familiarize yourself with the conference schedules, the Conference venue, the conference mobile app, room locations, etc.
