Description: A 90-minute interactive introduction to GPS Group Peer Support, an evidence-based, trauma-informed model that strengthens resilience and connection among social workers and the communities they serve. Participants will experience a brief GPS session, explore the principles that create safe and transformative group spaces, and learn how group therapeutic care can be applied in both client and professional peer support settings. Learning Objectives: Identify key elements of trauma-informed group facilitation and their impact on emotional safety and connection. Describe the GPS Group Peer Support model and how it fosters resilience among both professionals and clients. Experience core practices of GPS Group Therapeutic Care through guided participation and reflection.
