As rates of COVID-19 infection in the US and abroad increase and become more severe, our nation has had to respond with requests for and then restrictions imposed on social interactions through social distancing. What impact will this response have on older adults who have already been identified as socially isolated and at-risk for physical and mental health concerns due to this isolation? This workshop will identify the risk factors of isolation as well as help participants think creatively about how they can support social distancing while also addressing concerns with social isolation in older adult communities.
