Description: In this workshop we will explore the individual and collectivistic impact of an unprecedented global crisis, superimposed on a socio-political context that compounds its effects to produce both challenges and opportunities for growth and change. A brief primer on trauma basics, intergenerational trauma, historical trauma, and collective trauma will be followed with simple tools taken from trauma treatment to resource ourselves and others. Finally, we will look at trauma as an opportunity for healing responses such as the deepening of equanimity and compassion, and why our connectivity is essential to transformative healing.
