Bullies have been present forever in playgrounds and classrooms, but bully behavior is also increasing among seniors. This relatively new wave of “activity” is happening in senior centers and living communities across the country. In this workshop, we will look at the range of these behaviors, from teasing to physical intimidation, and explore the behavioral and emotion impact on victims and fellow residents. We will discuss various reasons for the inappropriate behaviors and interventions necessary to increase senior safety in these settings. Presented by Elda Dawber, LICSW
