Join Families for Justice as Healing and New Beginnings Re-Entry Services for a panel and policy discussion with formerly incarcerated women and women with incarcerations focused on stopping any a prison for women from being built in MA and creating community-led alternatives to the current system so we can decarcerate. Families for Justice as Healing is led by incarcerated women, formerly incarcerated women, and women with incarcerated loved ones. Our mission is to end the incarceration of women and girls. Directly affected women will share their lived experiences, what's happening inside our jails and prisons right now, and ways to get involved with our organizing and campaigns.
While MA has one of the lowest rates of incarcerating women in the country, we spend more on incarceration per person than almost any other state. As there are current plans to build a new women's prison, we will discuss existing and emerging solutions and talk about current legislation you can support. New Beginnings Re-Entry Services will share groundbreaking programming and services that address the root causes of incarceration. We have concrete, common sense steps toward decarceration to share that promote the wellbeing of women, our families, and our communities. We look forward to connecting and working together! Presented by Stacey Borden, MEd, LADC I, Ronicia Kennerly, and Mallory Hanora REGISTRATION FEES | 1.5 CEUs Webinar
