We will be identifying the factors to consider before starting a private practice, discussing pros and cons, and reviewing the steps to prepare. Information and resources will be provided regarding being a business owner, setting rates, identifying ideal clients, networking, insurance billing, and outsourcing. Identify fundamental considerations when starting a private practice that will address the needs of the community in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner. Describe common pitfalls to avoid and steps that promote success. List processes for establishing effective systems and procedures to provide quality service delivery.
Speaker bio: Julia Nepini is the founder of Compassionate Counseling Company. She has made a career of guiding individuals at all stages of their lives and relationships achieve personal progress and fulfillment. She graduated from Bridgewater State College in 2008 with her Masters in Social Work and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She is a collaboratively trained divorce mediator and a court approved parenting coordinator and category E Guardian ad Litem. She is especially passionate about helping clinicians start, grow, and diversify private practices and also owns Compassionate Consulting Company.
