Webinar description:

While individual organizations and professions often have their own codes of conduct, this course will broadly discuss the importance of ethical behavior and maintaining professional boundaries in the workplace. Utilizing discussion and case studies, participants will learn about professional conduct, setting limits and maintaining ethical boundaries, recognizing ethical situations as they arise, ethical decision-making, and preventing boundary violations.

  • Develop a shared definition of ethics and professional boundaries.

  • Learn to recognize ethical challenges. 

  • Feel prepared to utilize an ethical decision-making process.

About the speaker: Lisa Wasson RN, CHPN, CMDCP is the Community Nurse Educator with HopeHealth.  Lisa combines her 12 years as a hospice and palliative care nurse with the most up-to-date research from peer-reviewed medical journals to develop evidence-based and relevant educational presentations for new and existing clinicians of all disciplines. She is a certified trainer with the End-of-life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC), holds two certifications in dementia care, and she researches and advocates for affirming and culturally relevant care for all patients, with an intentional emphasis on shining a light on inequities within the LGBTQ+ community facing end-of-life challenges. Prior to transitioning to hospice care, Lisa worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant for 15 years in the long-term care and home care arenas.
