Virtual Symposium 2023

TO 2023 REGISTRANTS:

On behalf of the NASW Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chapter Staff & Symposium Program Planning Committee, we want to thank you for joining us at our Virtual Symposium 2023 “Social Workers Persist: Global Problems Demand Local Solutions” with keynote speaker Mojdeh Rohani, LICSW. We were joined by 750+ social work professionals, students, colleagues, sponsors, exhibitors and advertisers. It was so inspiring to be in the keynote, panel, and workshop spaces with you.

Workshop Recordings:

On-demand workshops are the only videos available on the conference website until Friday, May 19. After watching the full recording, participants will be able to download a certificate. Take advantage and earn more CEUs before the website is closed.

  • Visit the conference website here naswmasymposium2023.redefine.meetingachievements.com
  • Click on "Agenda” and then “on-demand videos”. Take a look at the workshops available; the number of CEUs varies for each video (1.5, 2, and 3).
  • Watch the full recording and download a certificate for each workshop (no codes required).

Though the majority of the live workshops were recorded, these will not be posted to the conference website. Participants had to attend live workshops at their scheduled times to receive credit. These recordings will be available for purchase on the naswinstitute.inreachce.com this summer.

Download your Certificate Before May 12:

We experienced a glitch with authorization codes (CE codes) not always displaying properly on your certificates. All certificates should include the 4-digit code shared in your workshops. We ask you to check if your certificates display the full authorization code. Visit the conference website to re-print or download the corrected certificates. You will NOT have to fill out the evaluation surveys again.

  • Visit the conference website: naswmasymposium2023.redefine.meetingachievements.com
  • Click on the "Agenda" session (day 1 or day 2) and find your workshop title.
  • Go to the "Contents" tab and re-download your certificate.
  • Download a certificate for each of your workshops (live and on-demand).

Missed a Code?

Email us at symposium.naswma@socialworkers.org. We'll forward the code after confirming your participation on our Zoom workshop reports. You must complete all your workshop surveys before May 19.

This year we’re introducing both live and on-demand workshops at Symposium. Live workshops are the scheduled workshops on both conference days: keynote session, panel discussion, workshops in sessions 1-6, and evening workshop. On demand workshops are pre-recorded webinars that will be available at any time for up to two weeks after the conference ends.

Join keynote speaker Mojdeh Rohani, LICSW in her presentation “After The Cameras Are Gone: The Global Refugee Crisis And Social Work’s Critical Role”. This presentation will focus on a global perspective on the current refugee crisis and definition of the different types of refugees. Attendees will identify systemic barriers to successful resettlement or repatriation and the role of social work in addressing them. The keynote session will be followed by a Panel Discussion on Social Work's Critical Role, with Hugo Kamya, PhD, Gladys Vega, Jason Giannetti, and Nicole Dubus, MSW, LCSW, PhD.

DID YOU KNOW? Social work licensing renewals now require 3 CEUs with focus on anti-racism and anti-discrimination. Symposium 2023 can help! A number of the workshops should fit those requirements as defined in the regulations
